SITE PREPARATION (Gravel base)

Site Preparation is available as an additional service by a WMG crew or we can instruct you on how to prepare your own site. However, we suggest some type of ground preparation to ensure the life time longevity of your Barn.

For your convenience, the attached PDF,
SITE PREPARATION GUIDELINES is available for download.

4 to 6" of Top Soil should be removed
to house gravel

Gravel is then added to obtain a level site.

If a cement pad is to replace the wood floor,
add poured concrete to the gravel prep site for the cement pad.
The poured concrete must be a minimum of 6" above ground level to allow overlapping of siding. The poured concrete pad must be the exact dimensions of the building.

The Barn can then be lowered
onto the level site

If the initial site is not level,
ties can be installed
to house the gravel
to create a level site

or small landscape timbers
can be used to raise the site
above ground level

All corners should be
toe nailed or screwed
to prevent slippage
